LONDON - GlaxoSmithKline PLC, the world's second largest drug maker by revenue, reported Thursday that its fourth-quarter profit soared by 66 percent, boosted by strong sales of swine flu vaccine and flu medicine.
The national swine flu hotline and website will be closed in response to a steady fall in swine flu cases.
Kunchev said that the recent cold weather has kept the swine flu virus in check but he added that “it is quite possible that a second wave of the virus will strike soon.”
