COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The family of a pregnant Ohio woman who died of complications from swine flu is suing a hospital, saying doctors failed to provide proper medical care.

GENEVA, Switzerland (AFP) -- The World Health Organisation (WHO) said Thursday that its emergency panel of swine flu experts would meet this month to formally determine whether the pandemic has passed its peak.

Despite a waning number of cases and continuing apathy among the general population, it will likely be several weeks or more before the health community officially declares the swine-flu pandemic over.

Across the country, it appears as if the H1N1 virus is in its death throes. However, experts in our area are reluctant to say that the swine flu is no longer a threat.
