The World Health Organization is recommending that swine flu be added to the regular flu vaccine next season. WHO said in a statement Thursday that it held a meeting this week to decide which flu strains should be recommended to drug makers for their vaccines during the northern hemisphere's next flu season, which begins in the fall.
MENDHAM – Residents are urged to get vaccinated for H1N1 or swine flu as the virus is still widespread in New Jersey and cases are likely to increase in coming months, according to a statement from the Bernards Township Health Department.

18 February 2010 KUWAIT: "Kuwait is swine flu free," said a senior Ministry of Health (MoH) official on Tuesday, revealing that the data for January indicated that no new cases of the H1N1 (swine flu) virus had been detected.
While the traditional flu season may be winding down, the H1N1 swine flu is still a threat.
Perhaps the hardest sell in public health today is trying to persuade Americans to get vaccinated for swine flu.
